Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said here on Wednesday that operation in North Waziristan is government’s next priority.
While addressing to the European security summit in Istanbul, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pakistan is following the strategy of unanimity to curb terrorism from the country.
Talking about Pak-India relation, FM Qureshi said that Indian Foreign Minister S.M. Krishna will visit Pakistan till July 15, 2010 to discuss bilateral relations of both countries.
“Some militants in Punjab had been picked up and some eliminated,” Qureshi told a news agency in an interview at the end of a regional summit in Istanbul.
"Government’s next priority is to launch an operation in North Waziristan, but the offensive will be in a calculated manner so we have to time our operations in line with our resources," he said.
